Meet The Developer

Grosvenor

The Grosvenor name has long been associated with world-class real estate, beginning with the development of London’s fashionable Mayfair neighborhood in the 1720s, and now includes a global portfolio of more than sixty cities. With a track record of over 340 years, Grosvenor develops, manages and invests with a purpose of improving property and places to deliver lasting commercial, social and environmental benefit. To deliver our purpose successfully, we combine an intimate local knowledge of markets and communities with a far-sighted, international perspective, gained through decades of global experience.

With a trusted reputation in the Washington, DC area built over the past 30 years, Grosvenor has developed, owned, and operated many notable residential and office projects in the Central Business District, Navy Yard, and 14th street neighborhoods. By recently expanding the portfolio into the vibrant NE neighborhoods of Union Market and Eckington, Grosvenor aims to make long-term contributions to the neighbourhoods and communities through our development activities like City Homes.

Guided by our “Living Cities” approach, Grosvenor creates projects to reflect the spirit of local neighborhoods to foster thriving communities.

At City Homes, as with all of Grosvenor’s developments, decisions are made locally by our specialist teams, and based on respect for both the uniqueness of the place and the people who live there.

Through a commitment to improve communities and support the work of independent and local creators, Grosvenor commissioned three D.C.-based artists to complete a series of abstract works that are featured in the corridors at City Homes. Contemporary artists Julie Wolfe, Steven Cushner, and Caitlin Teal Price worked to capture the interwoven frameworks of daily life through their three original collections.

Grosvenor has a long-standing history of supporting arts and culture in its communities,  with the aim to make public art more accessible and to celebrate the works of talented local artists.

Our Projects

GROSVENOR AMBLESIDE

Grosvenor Ambleside transformed a full-block site in West Vancouver into a world-class destination comprising 98 individually designed homes, carefully-curated local retailers, and a striking art-filled pedestrian galleria, welcoming the community back to the waterfront.

Designed by architect James KM Cheng and interior designer Mitchell Freedland, the project embraced West Coast modern design and was built around the community vision for the site as a welcoming and vibrant public gathering place.

Cecconi Simone’s wide-ranging work is central to its “whole design” philosophy; the belief that a cross-pollination of design experience leads to a deeper understanding of how people live their lives and the design needs that arise from those lifestyles.

CRESCENT

Prominently located atop historic Nob Hill in San Francisco, Crescent is a boutique collection of 44 residences with private landscaped gardens and rooftop terraces featuring views if the iconic San Francisco skyline.

As the first West Coast project by world-class architect Robert A.M. Stern and featuring contemporary interiors by acclaimed Champalimaud Design, Crescent marks the first new development in the Nob Hill neighbourhood in decades.

288 PACIFIC

In the historic Jackson Square neighborhood in downtown San Francisco, our collection of homes at 288 Pacific offers generous ceiling heights, a beautifully appointed salon lobby and rooftop terraces, with two retail spaces adding to the streetscape.

We worked with Handel Architects to design a building that aligns with the surrounding design aesthetic, the Gold Rush-era buildings, the nearby waterfront and the neighbourhood’s recent urban renaissance.
